Inbox and team

The agent app

Answer chats from your phone with the MagizAI agent app: the same inbox, replies and take over, with alerts when a visitor needs you.

Who can use it: Owner, Admin and Agent, or a custom role with "Reply to, take over and assign conversations". A Viewer cannot sign in to the app.

  1. Step 1: Sign in with your dashboard email and password

Open the MagizAI agent app, type the email and password you use for the dashboard and press "Log in". If you use two-step login, it also asks for the 6-digit code from your authenticator app, or one of your recovery codes.

When your workspace requires two-step login and you have not turned it on yet, the app does not sign you in. Turn it on under "Two-step login" in your profile first.

  2. Step 2: Keep using the app to stay signed in

A sign-in lasts 30 days and is renewed while you keep using the app. Signing out on the phone ends that phone's sign-in only.

  3. Step 3: Open the Inbox tab

It lists the same conversations as the web inbox, with unread counts, wait times and the channel of each chat, and checks for new messages by itself while it is open.

  4. Step 4: Press "Take over" on a chat

Open a conversation and press "Take over" to answer it yourself. The menu at the top of the chat holds "Hand back to AI", "Resolve", "Reopen" and "Visitor details".

  5. Step 5: Reply from your phone

Type your reply and send it. "Saved replies" inserts one of your team's saved replies, and "Draft with AI" writes a draft that you edit before sending.

  6. Step 6: Press "Turn on alerts" in the Settings tab

Allow notifications when the phone asks, then press "Send a test" to check that an alert reaches this phone. "Manage notifications" chooses what alerts you, such as "A new chat starts", "The AI hands a chat to a human" and "Nobody picks up a waiting visitor".

Tips

  • The app follows the same permissions as the dashboard: a role that cannot reply in the web inbox cannot reply in the app either.
  • If an owner later requires two-step login for your role, saving that setting signs the app out for anyone who has not turned it on.
