Free WHMCS module

The WHMCS AI chatbot that knows each client's account

Clients ask about logins, unpaid invoices, renewals and suspended accounts at every hour. The AI assistant answers from your own WHMCS: your prices, your help articles and, once they sign in, their own account. It works as an AI agent too. It places an order, renews a service or opens a ticket when the client taps Confirm, and only does what you switch on.

The module is free. You need WHMCS 8 or newer and a MagizAI plan, from $10 a month.

Client area chat

Can you point samsite.com to ns1.newhost.com and ns2.newhost.com?

Sure. That replaces the current nameservers on samsite.com with ns1.newhost.com and ns2.newhost.com. Tap Confirm to go ahead.

Confirm

✓Done. samsite.com now uses ns1.newhost.com and ns2.newhost.com. Some visitors may see the old servers for a few hours.

Nothing changes until the signed-in client taps Confirm. WHMCS logs the change and emails the client.

Why hosting teams use it

The same questions, every night

  • “Where do I point my domain?”

Easy for your team, confusing for clients. The assistant gives your real nameservers and makes the switch itself when the client asks.

  • “Why is my site down?”

It checks open network issues first, then the client's own service. A suspension for an unpaid invoice gets named plainly, with the pay link right there.

  • “I need help at 2 am”

Tickets wait for morning. Answers don't have to. Anything it can't solve still reaches your team as a ticket or a live handoff.

Features

What the assistant handles

  • For every visitor

    • Answers from your knowledgebase, with a link to the article
    • Shares announcements and open network issues
    • Shows your plans as cards: the monthly price first, then a line such as "Billed $113 every 2 years"
    • Checks whether a domain is free and suggests other extensions
    • Quotes register, renew and transfer prices for every extension you sell
    • Lets a new client open an account and order in the chat, then pay through a Pay link (off until you tick it)
  • For signed-in clients

    • Account overview: the counts first, then overdue invoices, services due soon and open tickets
    • Service status, next due date, server, and disk and bandwidth use
    • Domain expiry, nameservers, lock and auto-renew
    • Unpaid invoices with a pay link, and the payments WHMCS recorded
    • Order status, renewal dates and the emails WHMCS sent (dates and subjects only)
    • Ticket status and the latest staff reply
    • Login details: the username and a one-click control panel sign-in, with no password sent
    • The password only when the client chooses: Show password after a code WHMCS emails them (if you allow it), or Send by email
    • What an upgrade would cost, priced by WHMCS, and the extras they can add
  • Changes the client confirms

    • Change domain nameservers, or turn auto-renew on or off
    • Open a support ticket, reply to one or close one
    • Order a plan, with or without a domain, and get the invoice to pay
    • Upgrade, downgrade or renew early, at the price WHMCS holds now
    • Add an extra, such as a dedicated IP
    • Reset a control panel password and email the new one
    • Submit a cancellation request, or email a domain transfer code
    • Resend a welcome email or an invoice email
    • Each one stays off until you switch it on, and runs only after the client taps Confirm

Security

No admin keys. No guessing who is asking.

  • No WHMCS admin API key

MagizAI never holds admin access. It talks to a small signed endpoint inside the module, which runs only the actions you switch on.

  • WHMCS checks the sign-in

Each client-area page load signs a short-lived token for that client, and the module verifies it again before it reads or changes anything.

  • Only their own account

Domains, services, invoices and tickets are always looked up under the signed-in client. Ask about someone else's domain and you get the same reply as for one that doesn't exist.

  • Nothing changes without a yes

Every change, from an order or a renewal to new nameservers or a cancellation, waits for one tap on Confirm under exactly what it will do. Seeing a password in the chat takes more: a one-time code emailed to the address on the account, which works once and expires after 10 minutes.

  • Logged twice, emailed once

Every request goes into the module's activity log and every change into the WHMCS activity log too. The client gets an email about it.

  • Secrets stay out of the transcript

A signed-in client sees their username straight away, and their password once, behind a button, after a code emailed to their account. It is never saved in the chat. No card details or transfer codes: a transfer code only ever goes to the email address on the account.

It learns your business overnight

Switch on sync and the module sends your public knowledgebase, announcements, plans, prices and nameservers to the assistant each night. Only changed items travel. Delete an article in WHMCS and the assistant forgets it too, while client data stays inside WHMCS.

Setup

Live in about ten minutes

  1. 1

    Download

Download the module from this page and upload it to modules/addons/magizai in your WHMCS. The folder has to be called magizai.

  2. 2

    Activate

In WHMCS, open System Settings, then Addon Modules, and activate MagizAI Live Chat.

  3. 3

    Connect

In MagizAI, open Connectors, WHMCS and create a connection code. Paste it on the module's Setup tab under Connect with a code, and the module fetches every setting it needs. Your System URL must use https.

  4. 4

    Choose what it may do

One click adds the WHMCS skills. Lookups work straight away, and account changes stay off until you turn them on.

Download the latest version Requirements: WHMCS 8.0 or newer (8.8 or newer to renew a service early), PHP 7.4 or newer, and a MagizAI account.

Release history

What changed, and when

Upload the new files over the old ones, then open the module once so the upgrade runs. Your settings and your action choices are kept. An upgrade never switches on anything that changes a client's account or creates an invoice.

  1. 1.8.1
    • Login details lead with the username, the control panel address and its one-click sign-in, and send nothing.
    • The password follows only when the client chooses: Show password, after a 6-digit code emailed to the address on the account, or Send by email.
    • Every other change from the chat is confirmed with one tap on Confirm.
    • The upgrade switches nothing on or off.
  2. 1.8.0
    • New clients can open an account and order in the chat. Every order check runs first, and accounts open only the way your cart lets a new client register.
    • WHMCS sends its welcome and password reset emails, so the client chooses their own password.
    • The Pay link signs the new client in to their invoice with WHMCS's own single sign-on, for two hours and five taps at most.
    • One account per conversation, and 5 an hour per install by default.
    • Clients can close their own tickets, never one your team marked "prevent client closure".
    • A ticket with no subject takes its first sentence as the title.
    • Orders, renewals and tickets are confirmed with one tap on Confirm.
    • The three new actions are off until you tick them.
  3. 1.7.0
    • Connect with a code: create one in MagizAI, paste it on the Setup tab, and the module fetches every setting it needs.
    • A connection code works once and expires after 30 minutes, and your System URL must use https.
    • The code a client types in the chat now comes from WHMCS by email, through your own "MagizAI verification code" template in English, French and Arabic.
    • The module never stores that code, and a template you edited is never overwritten.
    • Tickets in the MagizAI inbox, off until you switch it on: your team answers WHMCS tickets from MagizAI, posted as the WHMCS admin you choose.
  4. 1.6.0
    • Each client-area page says why nobody is identified, and staff sessions such as Login as Owner are recognised.
    • An optional read-only staff view lets your team test account answers.
    • Sign-ins refresh on open pages, end when the client signs out, and can be signed with a key only your WHMCS holds.
    • New answers: payment status, order status, renewal dates and email history.
    • Resending a welcome or invoice email, off until you tick it.
    • One link opens cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, InterWorx or CyberPanel through WHMCS's own single sign-on.
    • Account overviews count everything and list what needs attention first.
    • Team members see only what the account owner allows in WHMCS.
    • The module is rebuilt as small files, one per action, with every answer checked to be the same as before.
  5. 1.5.7
    • Deactivating the module no longer disconnects it.
    • WHMCS deletes an addon's settings on deactivation, so updating by deactivate, upload, activate made a new bridge secret each time and every chat question failed.
    • The module now keeps its own copy and puts back the secrets, your action choices and the password switch on activation.
    • If your install was deactivated before this version, activate it and paste the new bridge secret into MagizAI once.
  6. 1.5.6
    • The service password now reaches the chat: 1.5.5 found it and then lost it on the way out.
    • It is shown once, behind a button, in the client's browser only, and never goes to the AI.
    • Sub-users see only what the account owner allows.
    • A shared computer starts a fresh chat when nobody is signed in.
    • Usernames are read from custom fields, and one-time subscriptions renew by ordering again.
    • Invoices are found by the number on them, and signed-in clients are quoted in their own currency.
  7. 1.5.5
    • Reads a service password stored in plain text as it is.
    • WHMCS returns nothing when asked to decrypt plain text, which is how many IPTV and streaming panels store passwords, so the assistant said none was stored.
  8. 1.5.4
    • Account answers in full: each service with the date it runs out, each unpaid invoice with its amount and pay link.
    • Passwords kept in product custom fields are found, and only fields that are plainly a password are read.
    • A client with one service is never asked which one.
    • Your own setup guides are offered by device or app.
    • One-time payments show their expiry date.

Questions hosting providers ask

Is there an AI chatbot for WHMCS?

Yes. MagizAI is an AI chatbot and live chat for WHMCS, and this free module connects it to your install. It answers visitors from your plans, prices and help articles, and signed-in clients from their own account. With the actions you switch on, it also works as an AI agent: it places orders, renews services and opens tickets after the client taps Confirm.

Does MagizAI need my WHMCS admin API credentials?

No. The module adds a small signed endpoint to your WHMCS, and MagizAI can only call the actions on this page that you have enabled.

Is the module free?

Yes, the module is free to download from this page. The AI chat runs on a MagizAI plan. There is no free plan: the cheapest is BYOK at $10 a month, where you bring your own AI provider key.

Which WHMCS versions are supported?

WHMCS 8.0 or newer, with PHP 7.4 or newer within the versions your WHMCS release supports. Renewing a service early from the chat needs WHMCS 8.8 or newer. We recommend WHMCS 8.13.7 (LTS) or 9.0.8 or newer, which fix CVE-2026-67399.

What happens when the assistant can't help?

It opens a ticket for the client or hands the chat to your team, depending on how you set it up.

Can I stop it from changing anything?

Yes. Each action has its own switch inside the module, and WHMCS always has the final say. Plenty of teams start with lookups only.

Can a client actually buy hosting in the chat?

Yes, once you switch it on. A signed-in client picks a plan, the chat reads back the plan, term, price and domain, and they tap Confirm. The module creates the order and its invoice in WHMCS and returns your pay link. A visitor with no account can buy too, under its own switch: the module opens the account, WHMCS emails them so they choose their own password, and a Pay link signs them in to the invoice. Card details are never asked for in the chat, and the price always comes from WHMCS.
