Live chat for WHMCS

A WHMCS live chat addon with a team inbox and an AI in front

MagizAI adds WHMCS live chat to your client area. An AI answers first, from your knowledgebase, announcements, products and prices, and from a signed-in client's services, invoices, domains and tickets. When a client needs a person, the same chat moves to your team inbox. The module is free to download and needs a paid MagizAI plan.

Our team can install the module on your WHMCS and connect it for you, at no cost. Need a hand? How free setup works

What it does inside your WHMCS

  • A chat window in your client area

The module adds the chat to your WHMCS client area. Show it on every client area page, or only to clients who are signed in.

  • An AI that answers first

It answers every visitor from your knowledgebase, announcements, network status, plans and prices, and checks whether a domain name is free.

  • It knows the signed-in client

For a signed-in client it reads their own services, domains, invoices and tickets from WHMCS when they ask. Each look-up runs under that client, so nobody sees another account.

  • A team inbox with human handoff

When a client asks for a person, or the AI cannot help, the chat moves to your team inbox with the whole conversation and your team is alerted. The AI stops replying once an agent writes.

  • Actions you switch on one by one

Up to 12 actions, such as changing nameservers, renewing a service or placing an order. Each stays off until you tick it, and waits for the client to tap Confirm.

Set it up in four steps

  1. 01

    Download the module

Get it from the WHMCS page on magiz.ai and upload it to modules/addons/magizai in your WHMCS. You need WHMCS 8.0 or newer.

  2. 02

    Activate it in WHMCS

Open System Settings, Addon Modules and activate MagizAI Live Chat.

  3. 03

    Connect with a code

In MagizAI open Connectors, WHMCS and create a connection code. Paste it on the module's Setup tab under Connect with a code. Your System URL must use https.

  4. 04

Choose what the AI may do

One click adds the WHMCS skills. Look-ups work straight away, and account changes stay off until you turn them on.

Questions people ask

Does WHMCS have its own live chat?

WHMCS documents a Live Chat addon. Its documentation says WHMCS does not include it by default, that you purchase and download it from the WHMCS Marketplace, and that WHMCS Cloud does not currently support it (docs.whmcs.com, checked on 10 October 2026). That page does not mention an AI assistant.

Are there other live chat addons for WHMCS?

Yes, several. The WHMCS Marketplace lists chat modules from tawk.to, LiveChat and Crisp, among others (seen on 10 October 2026). Compare what each one reads from WHMCS and what its AI may do before you choose.

Can the AI change a client's account by itself?

No. Each action is off until you tick it in the module. The chat shows what it will do, and nothing runs until the client taps Confirm.

Can my team answer chats themselves?

Yes. Every conversation appears in the team inbox, an agent can take over any chat, and the AI stops replying as soon as a person writes. You can set business hours and routing rules.

Is the module free?

The module is free to download. The chat runs on a MagizAI plan, from $10 a month, and there is no free plan and no free trial.

Does it need my WHMCS admin API key?

No. The module adds a small signed endpoint to your WHMCS, and MagizAI can only call the actions you have switched on.

Which WHMCS versions does it support?

WHMCS 8.0 or newer, with PHP 7.4 or newer. Renewing a service early from the chat needs WHMCS 8.8 or newer.
