What it does on your Squarespace site

  • Learns your published pages

    Give it your site address and it reads the pages you have published. Upload PDFs and documents, or write answers yourself, for anything your site leaves out.

  • Answers from your content

    It builds each reply from your sources and shows the source under the answer. When your content does not cover a question, it says it does not know.

  • Bookings without leaving the chat

    Link a MagizAI booking form and the chatbot offers free times as buttons, takes the visitor's details and confirms. The form also has its own page, link and QR code.

  • A person when one is needed

    When a visitor asks for a person, or the AI cannot help, the chat moves to your team inbox with its full history, and your team is alerted.

  • Languages and WhatsApp

    Answers come in the visitor's language, and the chat window comes in English, French and Arabic. Connect your WhatsApp Business number and the same chatbot answers there.

  • What it does not read

    MagizAI is not connected to Squarespace Commerce or Acuity Scheduling, so it sees no stock, orders or customer accounts.

Add it to Squarespace in four steps

    Create the chatbot

    Sign up, choose a plan and enter your site address. Then ask it your customers' questions on the Test page.

    Copy your line of code

    Open the Install page in your MagizAI dashboard and copy the snippet. It is a single script tag with your chatbot's key in it.

    Paste it in code injection

    In Squarespace open the Pages panel, click Custom Code at the bottom, then Code Injection. Paste the line in the Footer field and click Save. On version 7.0, look under Website Tools.

    Check in a private window

    Custom code does not always run while you are logged in to Squarespace. Open your site in a private window and look for the chat button.

Questions people ask

Is there a MagizAI extension in Squarespace Extensions?

Not yet. Today MagizAI goes on a Squarespace site as one line of code in Code Injection. There is nothing to connect from Squarespace Extensions.

Which Squarespace plans include code injection?

Squarespace lists code injection on its Core, Plus and Advanced plans, and on some older plans it no longer sells. The Basic plan does not include it. If you move down to Basic later, Squarespace switches your injected code off and the chat stops showing.

Can it read my Squarespace Commerce products or orders?

No. MagizAI does not connect to Squarespace Commerce or Acuity Scheduling. It answers from your published pages and from the files and text you add, so it cannot check stock, find an order or see a customer account. The chat also stays off checkout pages, because Squarespace allows no custom code there.

How do bookings work on a Squarespace site?

You build a booking form in MagizAI with your services, opening hours and team. The chatbot takes the booking in the chat, and the form has its own booking page you can link to. To show the form inside a page, add a Code block set to HTML and paste the form's own line of code; Squarespace runs JavaScript in Code blocks on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans. The form takes no payment.

Do I need a developer to add it?

No. The only technical step is pasting one line into the Footer field. Squarespace's own support does not help with custom code, so write to us if you get stuck.

How much does it cost?

Plans start at $10 a month on BYOK, where you use your own AI provider key, or $20 a month on Starter with AI messages included. There is no free plan. MagizAI is billed apart from your Squarespace plan, and the pricing page lists what each plan includes.
