What to know before you paste

  • One paste for the whole site

    Hostinger adds scripts from the Custom code field to your website at the end of the body, which is where the MagizAI snippet belongs. After you update, check the chat on two or three pages.

  • Not the Embed code element

    Hostinger also has an Embed code element that you drag to one spot on one page. Use the Custom code field for the chat, so it is not tied to a single page.

  • It runs on the live site, not in the editor

    Hostinger's help page says custom code shows in preview mode and online, not inside the editor. Do not worry if the chat is missing while you edit.

  • Now called Hostinger AI Builder

    Hostinger now calls its builder Hostinger AI Builder, and the drag and drop editor is its Manual mode. These steps are for Manual mode (Hostinger's site, checked on 10 October 2026).

  • Answers from your own content

    The chatbot learns your pages, files and questions and answers. It shows the source under each answer and says it does not know when your content does not cover a question.

  • Leads, bookings and your team

    It asks interested visitors for contact details and books appointments in the chat when you link a booking form. When a person is needed, the chat moves to your team inbox.

    Create and train the chatbot

    Sign up, choose a plan and create a chatbot. Enter your site address so it reads your pages, then ask it real questions on the Test page.

    Copy your snippet

    Open the Install tab and copy your one-line snippet.

    Paste it under Integrations

    In the Hostinger builder click More (the three dots), then Integrations. Paste the snippet into the Custom code field and save.

    Update and test

    Update your website, then open the live site and look for the chat button in the corner. The Install tab shows the chatbot as installed once it has loaded on your site.

Where do I paste a chatbot script in the Hostinger builder?

In the builder, click More (the three dots), then Integrations, and paste it into the Custom code field. Save and update your website. Hostinger places script tags from that field at the end of the page body.

Does Hostinger have its own AI chatbot?

Hostinger's list of built-in integrations for the builder names Custom Code, Google Analytics, Hotjar, Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager and WhatsApp among others. A chatbot for your visitors is not on that list (help page updated 25 September 2026, checked on 10 October 2026). Its AI tools, such as AI Writer and the AI assistant, are for building and running the site.

Which Hostinger plans allow custom code?

Hostinger's custom code help pages and its plans table name no plan limit for custom code (checked on 10 October 2026). If the Custom code field is missing in your builder, ask Hostinger support.

I use WordPress on Hostinger hosting. Is it the same?

No. On WordPress, use the MagizAI WordPress plugin, a download from magiz.ai: go to Plugins, Add new, Upload plugin, then activate it and paste your key. It also keeps the chatbot trained on your posts and pages.

Does this work in Hostinger's Agentic mode?

Hostinger's custom code help pages describe Manual mode, the drag and drop editor. We have not confirmed a place for custom code in Agentic mode, so check with Hostinger support before you rely on it.

Will the chatbot slow my site down?

The snippet loads with the defer attribute, so the browser shows your page before it fetches the chat. Your content does not wait for the chatbot.
