Connect an AI provider

MagizAI needs an AI provider to write replies. You can bring your own key, or use managed keys if your plan includes them.

Supported providers

Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, Moonshot Kimi, Groq (Llama), Mistral and OpenRouter. On your own key, each chatbot uses the provider and model you set for it. On managed keys, the answer-quality level you pick decides the model.

Searching your content

An OpenAI or Google Gemini key also lets your chatbot search your content by meaning as well as by keyword. Without one, training still works and the chatbot finds passages by keyword only.

Add your key

• Go to Sidebar › Settings.
• Under API key mode, choose Bring your own key (lowest cost) or Platform / managed keys if your plan allows.
• Under Provider API keys, pick a provider, paste the key and save. Only the last four characters are ever shown back.

Automatic fallback

If a bot is set to a provider you haven't added a key for, MagizAI automatically uses another provider you do have a working key for, so a missing key does not stop replies while another key works. On your own key it only ever uses keys you added.
